YOU are the Mission. Fairbanks Rescue Mission wouldn’t be able to serve so many precious men, women, and children without the generosity and dedication of friends like you. No matter what your skills, we can find a way for you to share, love, and hope with those in need. We understand that every volunteer is unique with different comfort levels and commitments; thus, we hope the list below will help you can find the best fit for YOU!
Volunteer Opportunities
Serve a Meal - Serve breakfast, lunch or dinner at our facility
Kitchen - Help prep, cook and clean up after meals
Clothing Closet - Help sort clothing donated to the Rescue Mission
Movie/Game night - Host an evening of fun! (board games, cards, movies, trivia, etc.)
Newsletters - Help us fold, stuff and address our monthly newsletters
Recycling - Bailing, collecting and interacting with the community
Facility Maintenance - Help us maintain our facility so we can continue serving those in need
Holidays - Help out on Thanksgiving and Christmas to make the holiday’s special
Create Your Own Event- (sports, fitness classes, photography lessons, drawing/painting, crafts, BBQ, concert, ice cream social, etc.)
