Gabe’s Volunteer Story

As a young man working on discovering how to best pursue my passions, follow God’s will for my life, and make a positive impact in this world; I know that this experience at the Rescue Mission has led me to greater clarity in all three.

For anyone who is looking to grow in both character and knowledge, I strongly encourage volunteering at the Fairbanks Rescue Mission and helping the homeless community. You may not know it now, but it may be just as much of a blessing for you as it is for all those you help. I know I didn’t!

Tammy’s Volunteer Story

I started volunteering at the Mission in 2019 with some ladies from my church. Relational ministry is so important in the lives of the women at the shelter and we wanted to really show them the blessing of friendship. Over the years, we have done lots of fun crafts and bible studies with the women and kids.

The Rescue Mission is a wonderful place to volunteer and you can definitely feel God’s love throughout the building. I encourage you to come be a part of it.
