Many people come to the Mission without any basic necessities. We have a toiletry closet that we stock with donations. Moving into a shelter can seem very shameful to a person; being able to wash your hair, brush your teeth, etc. can make that transition less shameful and bring back dignity.
We provide three meals a day to our residents. You can help us out by shopping for some of the items on the list below.
Kitchen and Thanksgiving Needs
Food is the most consistent need we have at the Mission. Food drives are a great way to maximize your efforts in feeding the hungry. Items that are in continuous demand are listed above.
Due to limited availability at the local food bank, the Mission can always use more hamburger meat, chicken, eggs, milk, cheese, butter, and lunch meats. Also remember the Mission serves on average 150 people per meal, so bulk items are appreciated.
Donate Goods and Materials
The Mission not only serves meals and provides a safe place to stay for those in need, but also distributes clothing, hygienic items, blankets, backpacks and more. Contributing gifts is a direct way to serve the homeless in the community. The Mission welcomes non-monetary contributions such as those listed below. All donations are tax deductible.
