We have some exciting news!

The Fairbanks Rescue Mission’s Board of Directors has successfully recruited and hired a CEO to take the helm at the Fairbanks Rescue Mission. The Board sought an individual with unique leadership skills and a shared vision for the Christian organization. In late August, the position was offered to and accepted by former Senator Pete Kelly, and his first day working was Monday, September 8th.

In the Senate, Kelly held a number of leadership positions including multiple terms as the Senate Finance Co-Chair (one of five leadership position), and the Office of Senate President. Additionally, Kelly has worked in management positions in the Private and Public sector and most recently was chosen as a Co-Chaplain at the Fairbanks Correctional Center.

“What a privilege it is to serve the community in this manner. Some years ago, God put this struggling population on my heart and I have tried to serve in different ways. This is a huge opportunity and I am grateful to the staff and board at the Mission for welcoming me as a part of their team:” Kelly said.

Join us in welcoming Pete to the team and praying for this new endeavor!
