2022 Program Stats

What makes the Rescue Mission unique outside of offering emergency services is that we have the ability to facilitate programs to initiate life transformations. Despite Covid-19 putting some roadblocks in our way, we had a few successes across our internal and external programs.

Supportive Services For Veteran Families (SSVF) works with low-income homeless veterans and the at-risk-of-homelessness veteran population to secure housing. SSVF had 203 participants in 2022.

MyPlace Rapid Rehousing Program works with low-income homeless individuals to create a life stability plan with specific goals to achieve housing and self-sustainability. The MyPlace program had 35 participants in 2022.

Green Collar Jobs Training Program used the borough Central Recycling Center to train residents in recycling, shop safety, forklift operation and good employee practices. Green Collar had 8 participants in 2022. This program contract has expired.

Enterprise Unit a train as you work program that helps residents who join, gain useful skills, and build on those skills by creating items for sale by the Rescue Mission. (example: dog houses) They also do clean up contract work, light painting and construction. This helps build a resume and earn a small stipend. There were 6 participants in 2022.

Grant Per Diem Program (GPD) works with veterans to regain housing and meaningful employment as a means to end homelessness. GPD had 34 participants in 2022.
